The Czech Society for New Materials and Technologies

The Shechtman International Symposium on Sustainable Mining, Minerals, Metal and Materials Processing will be held in Cancun, Mexico from 28 June to 4 July 2014 in Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun All Inclusive Resort. This symposium is in honor of life-time achievements of Prof. Dan Shechtman - 2011 Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry and will equally cover the important pillars of sustainability: (1) science, technology and industrial practice (2) political and social framework and (3) education in the entire cycle of materials science from mineral processing to metals extraction and the development of new materials. It incorporates the following international symposiums:

4th International Conference NANOCON 2012 was organised in Brno, hotel VORONEZ, in October 23rd-25th 2012. During the three days of the conference 99 lectures focusing 5 different thematic areas of research and applications of nanomaterials were presented for the 389 participants from 34 countries on five continents. 3rd International Conference NANOCON 2011 will be organised in Brno, hotel VORONEZ, in September 21th-23rd 2011. The conference will be focused on nanomaterials, their properties, characteristics and applications in different areas, including biotechnology and medicine.
